On The Road with Taos & Ruby
Ruby and Taos are our Subaru Outback (Ruby because she's a beautiful red) and pop up camper (Taos, a 2008 Fleetwood Taos). We bought Ruby and Taos in 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic as a way to travel safely and affordably as a family. We have always loved camping and wanted to have a few comforts of home out on the road. Check out our posts on renovating Taos for more info on our pop up camper.
Ethos of 'Slow Life'
What is Slow Life? Early in our relationship, during that getting to know you phase, we had lots of talks about our goals and what we valued in life. Things like meditative awareness, finding a flow state, appreciating simplicity and valuing time together more than things: this is what we shared. We started using the term Slow Life as a motto, a mantra to describe those values. Whether we are washing dishes at home, setting up the camper, helping with homework, or planning an adventure, Slow Life is the backdrop to our days.
